Construction Documents (CD’s):
- Continuing coordination of consultants, ie. architect, arborist, environmental consultant; structural, geotechnical or civil engineer, etc.
- Client meetings to review CD progress at 50%, 75%, and 95% completion, answer questions, make sure everyone is still on the same page.
- Submit documents as needed for permitting and design review if required.
- Revise drawings and specifications as needed for bidding.
Please note that the construction document phase can be the most time consuming and complicated part of the design process. It can be frustrating since so much effort is being made, but there isn’t anything “in the ground” yet. It is far less costly to solve issues on paper before breaking ground.
